Printing your worksheets

Choose the right paper and keep the answer key separate.

1. Match the paper size

Select US Letter or A4 before generating. Use the same size in your PDF viewer and printer settings. If the preview is clipped or leaves unexpected margins, check both settings; regenerate with the intended paper size instead of stretching a Letter page onto A4.

2. Identify the worksheet and answer pages

Preview every page before printing. The practice pages show spaces for answers; the separate answer-key pages are headed Answer key and show the matching numbered answers. The footer labels pages as Worksheet or Answers, with numbering within each section and a worksheet ID. Use the PDF viewer’s full document page numbers when choosing a print range.

3. Choose the pages to print

The answer key starts on a new page after all practice pages. For the default 20 problems, print page 1 for learners and keep page 2 as the answer key. For longer worksheets, inspect the preview to find where the Answer key begins, then select only the practice-page range in your print dialog.

4. Check size and orientation

Choose portrait orientation and Actual size or 100% scaling. If your printer cannot print within its available margins, inspect its fit-to-page preview before printing. Check that the problem numbers, writing spaces and footer remain visible.

If the print window does not open

Download the PDF and open it in your device’s PDF viewer, then choose Print. Printer and PDF-viewer options vary by device. Preview the downloaded file and check the selected paper and page range there.

Make a worksheet to print

Choose the two-digit addition worksheet generator for practice with or without carrying, or the subtraction worksheet generator for practice with or without borrowing. Both include a separate answer key and a choice of US Letter or A4 paper.
